We are so thrilled to host Wiley Book Club. Our book club is our way of fostering curious conversation, expanding context, and sharpening our attention to nuance.

 

2022


 
 

Our first selection of 2022 was An Illustrated Catalog Of American Fruits & Nuts: The U.S. Department of Agriculture Pomological Watercolor Collection. This work includes words by Adam Leith Gollner, author of The Fruit Hunters, as well as, Jacqueline Landey, John McPhee, Michael Pollan, and Marina Vitaglione.

Our second selection of 2022 was The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Fruits, Vegetables, and Herbs by Barbara Santich and Geoff Bryant.


2020 — 2021


Our inaugural Wiley Book Club selection is The Earth Knows My Name: Food, Culture, and Sustainability in the Gardens of Ethnic America by Patricia Klindienst. Read further about the author Patricia Klindienst here.

Our second selection was The Unsettling of America: Culture and Agriculture by Wendell Berry.

Next, our third selection was The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate by Peter Wohlleben. Thank you, Patricia, for recommending this book.

Our fourth selection was Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. It is available to purchase online and in local bookstores.
