Minimal Equipment Required: Pickling
Simple Pickled Onions
We add pickled onions to any dish that welcomes them! They complement toasts, tacos, sandwiches, soups, and more with their pop of flavor, crunchiness, and color. That pink! Pickled onions are an approachable, quick-to-create staple and can be used year-round on a variety of meals.
Pickled cauliflower
Pickled Cauliflower is a recipe Jared has requested for months and months, and I am over the moon to share it with you. Cauliflower is incredibly enjoyable in its pickled form. It tastes refreshing and presents beautifully.
PICKLED VEGETABLE MEDLEY
Pickled Vegetable Medley is inspired by an unforgettable meal I had at Lou in Nashville, Tennessee. My meal included simple ingredients prepared perfectly: marinated lima beans, crisp lettuces, and pickled vegetables.
Minimal Equipment Required: Freezing
Frozen Sweet Corn
If I could savor one, and only one, flavor year-round, it would be the flavor of sweet corn. How can a vegetable taste so nourishing and so indulgent at once? Sweet corn freezes beautifully and can later be enjoyed in soups, salads, or as a side dish.
Frozen Blueberries
There is a rhyme and reason to freezing summer berries properly. Blueberries arrive aplenty at the farmers’ markets each June, and I buy several pints to dedicate solely to freezing. Frozen blueberries can be used for smoothies, jams, pies(!), ice cream toppers, and more!
