Dear Wiley Community,

I’m humbled and excited to share that Jared and I are three weeks away from meeting our first child. We are shifting our focus as a family as we welcome our newest teammate and enter this special chapter together.

So, what does this mean for Wiley Canning Company?

This means you will notice a brief pause in the publication of new recipes and the availability of online workshops until Spring 2021. However, I plan to stay in close touch with you through our weekly newsletter and on Instagram.

In addition to new recipes and online workshops, there is so much in store for Wiley Canning Company in 2021. I cannot wait to share more about what’s ahead!

Until then, I invite you to fully soak in all that is here on our website today.

Read about who we are today, what came before us, and what’s yet to come.

Dive into a pool of foundational knowledge including brief histories of canning and farmland, sourcing information, our produce calendar, recommended equipment, tools, and pantry staples, key terms used in our canning practice, and our ever-evolving library.

Have you tried a canning, pickling, and preserving recipe? How did it go for you? I would love to hear. Email me at recipes@wileycanningcompany.com.

It was a huge joy to teach you this year. I can’t wait to see you again this spring.

Are you reading The Earth Knows My Name by Patricia Klindienst? If so, I hope you take part in our upcoming discussion this December on our website and on Instagram.

Thank you for your encouragement, support, and kindness, my friends. If you are here, it means you are an early adopter of Wiley Canning Company, and your belief in this business and me means more than I can express.

With deepest appreciation,

Chelsea
